It's been so long. You said you'd call, or at least write or e-mail me. But you haven't. I'm beginning to wonder where our relationship is going - if anywhere at all.

(Satire, of course. Reality = We were supposed to get replies two days ago detailing which pieces were selected for this conference. Am I anxious? Of course not...)
