BEDA Day 27: Readings and Weather

My string orchestra work honoring Charles Darwin (Generations) will be read tonight by the CUA Orchestra. As soon as the recording comes in, I'll show it off!

In the meantime, I'm working on an exciting paper on guitarist Django Reinhardt's classical appropriations. He arranged Franz Liszt's Liebestraum No. 3 and Edvard Grieg's Norwegian Dance No. 2 for jazz ensembles. It's very interesting to explore how Reinhardt used and changed these works, as an amazingly talented yet illiterate musician.

Also, I'm struggling with allergies and an early hot spell (over 90 degrees!). Yipes!
